Improve Employee Performance

Before we start, there are a few things to remember… You employed this person for a reason, and nobody shows up to work wanting to be the poor performer.

To help improve performance, simply talk to them about (and remind them) what you believe they are capable of. If you explain where/how they are currently operating, and then express to them what you believe they are really capable of – you will watch nearly every employee push their chest out and work to prove you right!

Be sure to acknowledge and praise them when they do improve, and then repeat the process. This works with children, clients, employees – and even partners. Try it.  Make sure it’s authentic, and let me know how you go.
